To reduce the risk of damage, every Heller rasp is carefully inspected before it leaves the factory. For a farrier it is important to have insight into this process so damage during use can be minimized. Tossing a hoof rasp on the ground or sliding it across the ground are enough to cause serious damage; as a result the farrier will no longer have the reliable precision instrument that originally came out of the packaging.
